Homemade chai! Add to cold pot: 4 cups water 2 bay leave 2 cinnamon sticks 10 black peppercorns 10 green cardamom pods 1/2" ginger root, sliced 10 cloves bring to boil for 5 min, turn heat to low and steep for 10 min. Add black tea, steep for 5-10 min. Add 1 cup milk, bring almost to boil. Remove from heat. Serve and sweeten with brown sugar or honey as necessary.
